Frequently asked questions

What is The EX Space?

The EX Space is a new membership-based learning community for employee experience and employee engagement practitioners. It’s the global go-to destination for knowledge, skills development, news, views and networking on all aspects of employee experience and employee engagement.

Why did you set up The EX Space?

We’re on a mission to enable the EX Era by equipping a new generation of people leaders with the knowledge and skills you need to design great employee experiences - experiences that unlock engagement and drive organisational success. For the first time, we’re bringing together all the elements of employee engagement and experience in one place, creating a one-stop-shop for anyone who wants to change the world of work for the better.

Who is The EX Space aimed at?

Quite simply, anyone who wants to create better employee experiences!  Whether you’re already in an EX or EE focused role, are an HR or internal comms professional looking to broaden your impact, or a senior leader grappling with the new world of work, The EX Space will provide the knowledge, tools, training and support you need to transform your world of work.

Do you offer an all-you-can-eat package?

Absolutely! Our EX Pro package is our gold-standard subscription and includes access to all EX Space resources, including all Signature and Certified courses, Expert Insight courses, masterclasses, webinars, toolkits, community and content.

Can I earn points towards my Continuing Professional Development?

Yes, we’re registered with the CPD Certification Service and our signature courses are all accredited for CPD purposes. The CPD Certification Service was established in 1996, and is the world’s leading and largest independent CPD accreditation institution operating across all industry sectors.

Can I pause my membership?

All EX Space membership subscriptions run for 12 months at a time and are renewable on the joining anniversary.

If you wish to cancel at the end of your current subscription period, you can do so by emailing us at hello@theex.space at least 30 days before your renewal date.

Can you provide an invoice so I can reclaim the cost from my employer?

Yes, of course – please just email us at hello@theex.space and we will send a formal invoice.

What are Expert Insight courses?

Expert Insight courses are delivered by our third party partners comprising employee experience and employee engagement experts from across the world. These are hand-picked partners who are at the top of their game – friends of The EX Space we have invited to contribute cutting edge content and courses.

What payment options do you offer?

If you are paying for yourself you can pay by credit or debit card or, if your employer is paying, we can raise an invoice. You can subscribe on either a monthly or an annual basis. Annual subscriptions offer better value and mean you effectively get two months free (12 months for the price of 10) when compared to our monthly plans.

What makes The EX Space different to other EX-focused sites?

Quite simply its breadth! For the first time, the EX Space brings together all aspects of employee engagement and employee experience in one place, rather than focusing on one small part of the picture. For us EE and EX are two sides of the same coin – creating great experiences for employees is what creates high levels of engagement which, in turn, is what drives organisational success. Rather than focusing on one tool in the kitbag – like Design Thinking – we deliver learning and support that covers all aspects of EX and EE, equipping you to be able to make a difference whatever your role, wherever you are on your journey and whenever you choose to start.

How often is The EX Space updated?

The EX Space is a rich and vibrant platform with new content added at least 2-3 times per week and an ‘always on’ community where discussions take place 24/7 - your ready-to-access support network. We have an active programme of events, with at least two webinars taking place every single month (these are then archived for members to access on demand) and new premium courses added at least quarterly.

What’s included in my membership?

It very much depends which membership package you select. We offer three levels of membership at present – EX Essentials, EX Practitioner and EX Professional.  We also offer corporate memberships for teams – please get in touch if you would like to discuss corporate pricing.

Our entry level package, EX Essentials, delivers the core content you need to stay up-to-date on developments in the field and enhance your own knowledge and skills. For a low monthly fee you’ll receive regular news and blog articles, case studies, a monthly research digest, regular webinars featuring our team and external experts, white papers, spotlight tools and more.  This package is fully flexible – you can cancel or upgrade at any time subject to our standard terms.

Our EX Practitioner package includes all of the above, plus unlimited access to our practitioner toolkit, diagnostic tools, monthly lunch and learn sessions, live new member onboarding, the EX Space community and EX Fundamentals courses. It is also fully flexible – you can cancel, upgrade or downgrade at any time subject to our standard terms.

Our gold standard package, EX Professional, offers all of the benefits of our Essentials and Practitioner packages, plus unlimited access to our Signature and Accredited courses, one-to-one mentoring sessions with an EX Space founder and access to our exclusive Research Forum, where you can help guide our research projects. Given the duration of some of the courses included, this package is available for a minimum of 12 months (paid either monthly or annually).

All three packages provide discounts on the cost of our ‘Expert Insight’ courses, which feature world-renown external experts.

For a full breakdown of these tiers and benefits, visit our Membership/Pricing page – or contact us to learn more about corporate membership.

Is there a minimum duration for membership?

Our EX Essentials and EX Practitioner packages are fully flexible – you can cancel, upgrade or downgrade (where applicable) at any point following an initial three months period.  Our gold standard EX Professional package includes access to our Signature and Accredited courses, which by their nature are delivered over a number of weeks or months, so this has a minimum commitment of 12 months.

Can I sign up my whole team?

Absolutely! We have exclusive pricing for teams of more than six people, so please just email us or give us a call and we will provide further details. For teams of five or fewer it’s more cost effective to subscribe individually.
